    Anyone do/has done courier work?

After being put off slightly with the driving instructor possibility, i became stuck & thought of anything & everything.

There's a firm round here that delivers parts to garages. I thought, that looks like a piece of p!ss job (might not be for all i know), i might look into it.

A bloke i work with knows a guy quite high up in this place apparently & has got me a contact. After giving me the contact, he parted with saying "if you're THAT desperate to leave, there you go".

Makes me wonder what he meant. I'll probably ask him tomorrow if he's in. Wonder if he's making out it's a poor job or poor place to work for. i dunno.

Anyway, anyone do this sort of work? I imagine it to be just drive & drop. Pretty simple & basic stuff.

Is there typically more to it?
Any idea on 'typical' pay rates? I heard it's poor, but then i'm in a poor paid job as it is so it'd have to be REALLY poor to be worse.

Did some van driving before, delivering newspapers from the sorting warehouse to newsagents, but was cash in hand.

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

i am a courier for a large parcel company, i am paid per drop
the thing you prob talking about would be hourly rate and collecting cash from customers as you deliver.

i know people who do it and they enjoy it

Cheers for the offer fella. I'm a million miles from Swindon though.

Put in for a job on Monday that went into the system on Monday ...........1st thing Tuesday i get a reply saying it's been filled. Great.

Hopefully something will turn up soon as i can't stand the people i work with & for. Not so much the job, but most of the people are unreal.

Wouldn't like being paid per drop. You'd be a bit screwed caught in a jam or a breakdown or whatever.

Hopefully nothing scuppers this idea. I'll be running out of avenues and have to resort to "Plan Z" - going to college.
