    tax for 1.8

    long story but i have a astra g convertible and have put in a 1.8 16v just wondered wot others are paying for 6 months tax on a 1.8 astra g
    courtney stage 3 zafira,Mitsubishi evo geek mapped to 389 and 470 lb of torque

    It was £170 for a years tax on mine,so i guess 6 months is about £90

    quary is that it was a zlet but just been fora vic check, now got a 1.8 in but tax was 115 for 6 months

    it all depends on the age of the chassis as in when it was first registered initially as a zlet - if u were paying a set amount with the zlet based on the CO2 rating then youll be charged based on the CO2 rating of the 1.8. If however the price for the zlet was based on another contributing factor then the same factor will apply for the new engine.

    I have a 98 registered chassis when the tax was governed on engine size .. upto 1.6 & 1.6 and above - pay the same with ZLET fitted as i did with 8v

    youll have to log onto DVLA site for more details as only you know the year of the chassis etc
