    astra g 1999 key thob loses signal

    hi hope some one is in the no about this my car key thob works one day and then not another i have to keep putting it into the ignition and reseting it for central locking dead locking please help as i have brought a de locked drivers door handle but want to be locked out my own car

    Chances are the terminals for the battery inside the remote are broken and are coming disconected for long enough to loose it's memory. Wedging some paper inside the remote on the battery holder might help

    thanks for your help all ready have paper in it do i just get a new remote say from ebay and do i just put it in my ignition to reprograme it

    Ive had the same problem this last few days. I also had paper already in there. I just took it apart, put another fold in the paper then took the battery out and put it back in. Its worked fine since. Must have just come slightly loose i guess. Sack buying a new one and just have a play with the one you have.
