    I hate insurance

Well the price of it anyway after I got some quotes today for my diesel astravan. With all the mods on it I got quoted £4400 so I got a quote without the engine mods and it was still £3500 fully comp.

I think a lot of the stuff is going to have to go back to standard.

Its not even massively modified. My first years insurance as standard was way under £2000.

I don't know what I should do, I've got the money and could do it but it just seems like such a waste. Has anybody else got this problem? Any thoughts?

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

i'd say if you cant get it cheaper then go back to standard for abit,
it'll only be a year and you'll have tonnes of spare cash to spend if you save for next year...

and i just wouldn't give them the satisfaction of taking that kind of money off me if it was me of course.
    hope this helps

oh and nice van it looks spot on bud

Ouch - Feel for you... I thoughtmine was bad... My mate crashed my car in january an it went through as 2 x claims on my name, even though he was driving?

Ridicolous... anyway, my quotes are £3,100 fully comp, which i thought was bad lol

    Hi,

It could be that you are trying Insurers that are not willing to cover mods or the area you are in could have bad claims or accidents.
If you would like me to look into it then please PM me your Name and Postcode and Contact Number and we can arrange a callback for you to discuss your needs. Plus if you are a full member on this forum you get up to 15% discount.

    Dan.

if a company has lots of cars then they will usually take out fleet insurance on all the cars. covers you on all the cars in the "fleet" and a hell of a lot cheaper.
