Connecting Sony Explod to my Astra Mk4

Hi Guys, I am trying to install my Sony Explod aftermarket stereo into my Astra mk4 2000 replacing the Siemens CDR500 but cannot find the correct adapter to do this, as I have been told that an extra/different one is needed when using the Steering controls

Can some point me in the right direction?

Not all sony headunits will take steering wheel controls. Make sure yours has the hard wired remote input on the back

How can I tell if it has or not? Sorry for the dumb questions but never changed one before!

As I can remember, it has 2 slots for the car adapters to fit into and one aerial type port, no other inputs are available
