    respray question (not a cost enquiry)

    right im looking at getting my car resprayed, have been told as long as i can supply the paint etc then the resprays free, so how much paint am i going to need and what other items and quantitys am i going to need?

    Your painter should be able to guide you ....
    also depends on what else you are expecting to provide..

    Paint, thinners, mixing bits (strainer/spatula), tack cloths etc

    Maybe ask him to go with you to the supplier and get it all together.

    Sounds like a very good deal though

    should work out nice and cheap mate paint etc isnt going to be really cheap but no were near the price of a full spray due to the labour, have you gotta prep it yourself or they doing it?

    You would ideally need:

    3.5/4l of paint
    5l Lacquer + Activator

    Is he priming/flatting etc? Or are there no repairs to do?

    As above, ask him to go to the suppliers with you!

    im looking at 5ltrs of paint and thinners for £63 at the moment, i have to get laquer as well but not tools etc as he does resprays as a hobby. he said he would do it for me although if i did it myself then he would inspect it and sort imperfections etc, theres a small dent in the rear quarter panel that someones tried pushing out but i can sort that out

    id love to be able to do it myself and will probably be there when he sprays it to look at the tecnique, just a shame i dont have the equipment or space to do it

    am not 100% sure yet, am liking the idea of white although it would be hard to clean, orange as i have always loved to own an orange car (sad i know ) or kawasaki green (the cars a phase 1 pug 306 xsi by the way)
