1 out of 2 problems fixed

    Hi All

I bought my astra 1.8 x18xe1 lst week knowing it had the eml on.after searching endlessly and joining this forum i found a few things which may have helped.i had it diagnosed and the icv came up as a fault.knowing it was connected to the tb as a whole unit i ordered a new one and fitted it today.the eml is still on as i need to figure a way to remove it in D.I.Y style.but the idle issues have gone

only other thing is it sounds as if its firing on 3.going to get a set of spark plugs in a minute and a coilpack has been ordered.

does anyone know how to remove the eml without going to a garage (if its possible)

    thanks in advance

    mark

i think it has to go on a computer to get it removed, it the same with my brothers 206 he did the service himself but the spanner symbol was still there so had to take it to pug to get it removed !
Back in an astra and loving it

try leaving the battery disconnected for 10-15mins, that will some times reset it.

Otherwise buy a cheap code reader that has the ability to reset it.
