    Dead lock

Has anyone had this problem before, now and then when i try to dead lock the car it wont do it and then other times its fine. i have recently installed a after market head unit and the problem has started since that. Which makes me think this is the problem but im just wondering if anyone else has came across this.

i had the same problem when i fitted an alpine head unit, once i swapped over the yellow and red wire (yellow into red / red into yellow instead of colour matched) it stopped and went back to dead locking every time.

maybe a coincidence, but havent had the problem since

Alot of JVC headunits have the vauxhall plug go straight into the back of them, if this is the case then ideally you need a PC2-04-4. If the JVC had a wiring loom that went between the headunit and vauxhall connector then swap the red and yellow as mentioned above

i have a issue with my alarm, i baught my car and the alarm worked (made lots of noise), and now it doesnt make any noise and doesnt work at all.

and i changed my head unit from a old sony one, to a jvc. i used all the propper connection blocks etc and now my alarm doesnt work.

its only just occured to me that it could be the head unit, but would changing the headunit cause it not to work at all?

it still locks and deadlocks (somtimes)

might have to give it a go tomorrow.

If wired up wrong it could cause this issue with the alarm
