Is it worth it buying a intercoolerkit for my coupe?

    On a standard car no.....

It does make a bit of difference but not worth it unless your going to tune it in the future.

I think it is worth it especially if you are planning on tuning the engine further. Should be one of the first things you do after intake mods and exhaust imo.

it will help as the standard one is in the silly place so no direct airflow on it
but your get better gains if your going up the stages
and is must past stage 1 which is just a cooler ontop of a stage one map basically
if you can do it i would
along with the intake side and exhaust

I was running a Courtenay FMIC on my un-mapped bus for best part 3 years, the cooler helped it pull a bit harder for a bit longer than OE I'm sure.
If you can get a kit for £300 ish then go for it, but any more £ than that and I wouldn't bother unless you are getting a remap.

i fitted a fmic on standard and got 12bhp, that was a budget fmic, courtenay reckon you seen round 16bhp with their on standard. imo its probs the best mod, value wise, probs talking £200-£250 for fmic and bits. the only down side, is they can be a **** to fit, espec if u have a coupe

Not necessarily true that mate I ran stage 2 with the oe intercooler for about 6 months without damaging the turbo. Although it is definitely advisable to use a larger intercooler above stage one.
