how to go from dull red to flame red

hi all, iv recently bought a 1.8 sri with a prodrive front bumper but it was sat in the owners garden for a few months and wasnt really seen to, the car is suppose to be flame red but its a dullish sort of red, whats the best way to really bring out the flam-iness of it lol simple wash with car shampoo, rinse and dry then use a good polish like autoglym or completely t-cut the car after the wash, im no guru at car washing so any help is much appreciated. thanks

T-Cut is not a good idea, on a friedns astra that had faded i used Autoglym Super Resin Polish and it got the colour back. There are others on the forum that will have more advice, sure they will be along soon.

srp will bring it up not not fully. it depends on how far you want to go. you could get your local detailer to machine polish it for you and make it perfect. once polished remember to protect it with a good quality wax.

doing it with SRP will take ages mate, and T-C*t is far too irratic and won't get the best finish.

You'll need to have it machine polished, post in your local region for a detailer or someone with a machine that can do it for you. They can remove all the oxidisation (fading), and bring the rede back to life. Once it is back to it's former glory, then keep the protection on it and it won't fade again.

Red is the worst colour for fading, however if it is looked after then it looks fantastic.
