    Removing battery help really needed

Really need some help with this please!!
My battery is quite flat so went to remove it to charge, got the leads off ok but I can't get it out of the tray?! Is it held down is some way? Or am I just being weak (suspension was going up and down with my yanking it though!)'?
Secondly with the battery disconnected I can't lock my tailgate! No lock on the inside and turning the lock at the back does nothing?

Any help you can give would be great as I have tools in the back and don't want to leave it unlocked or have to jump start it tomorrow!
    Cheers

There is a bracket holding it in at the bottom. Will be a T20 screw or similar holding the bracket in place. Thats assuming you have a MK4, moved it to that section for you.

At the bottom on the left side IIRC when looking at the battery from above.

The battery has a clap holding it down at the bottom, 13mm bolt is what holds it
