    dump valve in wrong??

    hi all
picked up my 03 coupe turbo yesterday and absolutly loving it!!!
theres a dump valve already installed on it but earlier i was mooching around and noticed that the small hose coming from the dump valve is going to the hose that origionally went to the OE valve on the turbo, so the outlet from the OE valve is just left open, to me this doesnt sound correct i though it was supposed to go the the FPR.........
any help would be much appreciated :-)
    thanks

There are loads and loads of threads on this mate, most people recommend running both the oe valve and the dump valve, but for the aftermarket one to work properly it has to be connected to the FPR or it will lose boost by a couple of psi, the oe valve should be blocked off with either a one way valve in the pipe or a spacer in the actual valve. You would probably have to ask the previous owner if the spacer has been fitted as they're a pain in the ass to get off!!! Lmf sell them I believe.

Personally I run just the aftermarket one and love it, IMO!!!

thanks for your help! you guys rule!
so tomoz i think i will block the "BCS to OE" line off completely because it sounds useless and then run the bailey dump valve off the FPR, and then probly pop a one way valve on the OE valve just to make sure its blocked.
i take it this is wat you've done turbo-thomo ?

want to do my precat next but unfortunatly mines a bloody welded one :-( so will have to get it properly done at an exhaust place probs, god knows how much that will cost

if i was you mate i would run both to prolong the life of your turbo. aslo if u want the dump valve louder then get an apexi cone filter straight to the turbo, then it will sounds the nuts. trust me thats what ive done
