how far should Irmscher backbox stick out

    Hi All

Ive had one of these fitted before on my 1.8 Sri mk4 5dr and it stuck out quit a bit. Ive looked on the net for some pics and some look like they don't stick out that far but it could just be the photo from the back

Are they all standard sizes or does it vary from car to car or exhaust to exhaust.....

    Ta

If it sticks out a fair bit you have a saloon, coupe or zafira one fitted to your car probably.

    Hi
Thanks for the replies, hmmm, basically im buying one from a member here and Ive had one before that stuck out too much, but looking at the picture above that looks fine.

I hope the member doesnt mind but this is the one im thinking of buying. It does seem to stick out quite a lot like my old one.

Also i think when the car has warmed up a bit the exhaust will sit out slightly further.

Also if its 'sleeve' fitment you can fit them to far out or to far in.

Its down to the fitter fitting it
