    Sports button...

    Morning,

I've just bought myself a Zaf B Design 150 CDTi on a 55 plate with 45k miles and have to say that I absolutly love it!!

I originally didn't want a 'MPV' but the missus thought it was a good idea as we have 2 kids so who am i to complain? (!) I think i was originally forgetting about the kids.

My only request was that it had to a zafira B as it's the only one i liked the look of and it had to be quick (mid-life crisis?!) with reasonable MPG so I plumped for the Zaf B 150 CDTi. I have not been dissappointed!! My only complaint would have to be the thick pillars at the front which has taken some time to get used to! The kids love it too and their feet no longer stick in my back (our 6 year old is at the leg stage where they don't seem to bend over the seat and just stick straight out in front of him!)

On to my question (i'm not particularly technically minded when it comes to cars)..........the engine is 150bhp - is that with the sports button on or off? If it is 150bhp with the sports button off, what does the sports button increase the bhp to?

I've got to say that it's like sh*t off a shovel, especially with the sports button engaged, considering the size of it!

Also one final question - our Zaf has 17inch alloys (225/45/17); are these standard on the Design model of this year or were they an option?

    Thanks in advance!

It's 150bhp regardless really but safer to say 'with the sport button on'

The sport button increases throttle response, steering and (if you have it) stiffens the suspension.

From what I can find, the alloys you have mentioned are/were standard for that year of car on a Design

    Welcome !

    150bhp all the time...

Sports button changes throttle response, steering etc...
so increases throttle by something like 33%, without having to press 33% more ...

You can get the car remapped though, that will give you 150 sport button off, 200 sport button on.

    Thanks.

What do you reckon to this DTUK unit that is advertised on eBay? Any good or would it be best to go to a specailist to get remapped properly?

    Thanks Domino,

What are you getting from yours with the DTUK box? Has it affected MPG?

It has improved MPG. The best result I've had on the rollers (Daztek) was 209bhp and 298lbft
