    Alpine CDE 9880 R - help??

Hello recently fitted this head unit but have a few questions.

When i use the auto tune function for radio, it autio tunes to french stations. So i manual tune to the ones i want and save them, as soon as i remove the key from the ignition it forgets them, so next time im in the car all i get is static or french

Also with the kenwood system i had before when i got in the car it would automatically turn on and continue playing whatever i had on when i was last driving - is there any way to get this alpine unit to do the same?

ive tried going through the manual supplied with the head unit several times and got nowhere

    Thanks.

This is probably just going to be a case of swapping the red and yellow wires around on the alpines wiring harness. Vauxhall have the permament live and accessory the other way round

i have this stereo in my bedroom, waiting to go in the astra! just waiting for the wiring harness to arrive, which keeps the steering wheel controls working. what do you think of the unit (sound quality wise) ?
