Accident, Speed Camera, Where do i stand?

Yesterday as just going through the path of a front facing speed camera some focus driver rear ended the left hand side of my car, now this pushed me through the camera at well over 30, however his plates now hidden behind my viechle, there is however an insurance claim going through....

So if i was to get some sort of paper work through in regards to this, how would i go about fighting it, and explaining it was the focus, obviously they should have proof via picture of the focus literarily hanging of my rear bumper, and also ill have the insurance claim going through and relevant paperwork from that...

Really just annoyed/scared i could be held liable to take the points and fine, when i hardly ever speed due to how much care i take in my car

In regards to damage,, all he has done is pushed the bumper out of line slightly, and put a crack where the metal work has pierced through, however i dont have the bumper off as of yet to see if theres any damage, the boot floor etc looks fine, and no damage thats apparent to any of the shell etc

So where do i stand in regards to the points, and what do i do if there is a letter through, in regards to fighting it and showing the proof?

    Joe

Make sure you take photo's of the damage as additional proof. If you request the camera photo's then you will have enough conclusive evidence of what happened. They should understand anyway.

As said, get plenty of photographs! Did the focus driver stop?

So, speed cameras cut the number of accidents then??????? Hmmm.

Yes the focus stopped in a nearby layby, and no it didnt flash, ive always been told front facing ones dont as it would blind you if you where speedingg...

Have already photos of my car this morning, and have called insruance on there out of hours line so theyll get bakc to me tuesday...

May go inform the police to, it was actually outside a prision, i dont no what the focus driver was thinking to be honest, just lucky it hasnt done more damage then it did (well from what can see atm) as the focus felt as if it was doing atleast 70

Front facing cameras will flash if activated, so theres a good possibility that it didnt go off at the time. If it didnt go off then there wont be a photo. Just wait and see what happens, if it did go off then your know within 14 days, then contact the police and see what they have to say.

the front facing truvelo camera's use an infra-red flash thats not visable to the human eye. the reason being at night it would dazzle the driver

only the rear facing Gatso camera's flash
