    Question Is it worth it.

Hi My Zafira GSi has Regal's phase 2 map on it but would like it to phase 3.

To have it rempped Regal say there i a admin charge of £50 because I haven't purcased any hardware stuff like the turbo & etc.

So I'm weighing it up to buy a IPF Tool. This because it is also going to cost me around £50 for petrol and also what a code reading/diagnostic tool aswell which are around £50/60 basic one.

So for the sake of another £50 I can get a IPF Tool. But I can only map it to phase 3 & then have to pay more money for phase 3.5.

So what you think, what should i do?

save ur cash a while longer and go straight for stage 3.5. Not much point in buying the ipf if ur already at stage 2 imo.

1st off the ipf aint yet a code reader is it not???

as for a basic one they can be had for £20 (search ebay for "U380") - remember theres always the pedal test!

So its gonna cost you the £50 admin charge and the cost of petrol to get there....

OR a brand new IPF for god knows what price

IF it were me Id just get the P3 from Regal - stay loyal and they may return the loyalty when it comes to payment time or at least future custom - it seems the sensible choice if you ask me (i know ur not asking me - but thats my opinion nevertheless)

I see the advantages of the IPF (been considering one myself) but in your situation Id think its a no brainer in favour of the Regal option
