im normally very savvy when checking the car(brakes, fluid etc)
today when I was driving the car it felt terrible, wouldnt go above 4K RPM
I knew something was wrong.
went home pulled out the dipstick and it was near dry
I had 5 litres of 10w40 ready for top ups etc, put the car on a flat bit of road and filled er up wit about a litre or so.
took it for a drive, once the car was a bit warmer, floored it and lo and behold we were back to normal up to 6k.
However driving and changing at 2k rpm(which i was doing earlier as it was raining) the car felt fine. no warning lights etc.
So just a warning guys, dodged a bullet with mine today, from time to time give your car some revs, even if you drive conservatively despite what government campaigns say.
