    Ok, first day of skiing

    and i was hopeless and my legs and hips ache like a mother****er!

    Did around 5 hours skiing today at Tamworth snowdome, I would class myself as fairly fit, but my body is telling me very different at present....what a loser


    Did the snow plough, some turning and start stopping but generally its a lot harder than it looks to me! 2 things seem to hold me back the instructor told me:

    1. mountain biking - bracing for impact, never having knees in and ankles out but having them the other way around, the general feeling of leaning forward (a big no no when jumping around on a bike).

    2. My current knee problem which has made my left knee and leg quite weak.

    Other than that I seme to have the basics but i need to conditon my body to be able to do it better and more freely/relaxed/losely.

    All in all a week in Austria is either going to kill me or break me

    You will get the hang of it after you fall on your face a few times. I did lol.

    Oh did you have fun at the top of the slope where the ramp type thing stops and you a have that step down to the snow?

    i didnt get to the bloody top, I am far to dangerous for that yet Very frustrating as i secretly hoped it would be easier oh welll something to get my teeth stuck into The snow that is

    Ah bless you on the kiddy slope lol. Did you pull up on the rope then? Or just walk or should I say fall up.

    If you did go up on the rope. Try going up with out gloves. You wont go anywhere as I found out. But then again I was not meant to be going. We went as a last second thing. So I was well ready for going sking not!! Jeans and a t shirt and snow don't mix together too well lol

    yep I was on the rope on the left hand side which takes you half way, so indeed the kiddy slopes for me A gum sheild is abloody good idea! I am thinking about taking all my body armour for my bike as well

    The instructor did say once you have it sorted you wont use it all that much - so whats the bloody point in doing it then ARGH!!!

    I am not to bad today on the sore front although I am walking a little bit like John Wayne at present
