    sub connected to standard headunit?

    i want some b-line in my gsi but i dont wanna lose the sat nav, steering wheel controls, trip computer etc. am i right to assume its the headunit that powers all of that? i have a vibe sub with built in amp,is it possible to connect it to my standard stereo?

    These subs with built in amps usually have high level inputs so you can just use the rear speaker outputs from the headunit to power it. Otherwise you need a speaker to RCA connector

    nice one, will i lose sound from the rear speakers and will the sub run at its full power? im a complete novice when it comes to car audio!

    I believe you will have to disconect the rear speakers yes. the sub will run at full volume
