I've just bought some LED "Strip light Series" bulbs off ebay to replace a broken brake light. They have a group of 18 LEDS mounted to a standard bulb base. I thought I'd buy them because they weren't very expensive and might last longer than a standard bulb.
They have just arrived and I've read the back of the packet and they have the following line:
5. When used as an outboard instant spotlight, this product shall not be used on ordinary roads.
Does this mean that they aren't road legal? What are the rules governing brake bulbs? I'd prefer to keep my lights the right side of the law and if necessary I'll have to go and buy a set of standard bulbs. Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me please.
