    strange fault help needed

    My mates astra 1.8 16V V reg 115k. Gets to 50mph and backs off any ideas??

    has he recently got tyres replaced or new wheels also?

    No not that i know of. Why does that make any difference?

    Take it down to vauxhall or a garage that can read vauxhall computers and get them to give you the faults code then put the codes on here and im sure someone will be able to help you out further mate as to what could be the problem.

    There is a way of reading the fault codes your self by using for your pedal or something like that..anyone know how to do this?

    EML (engine management Light) is on your dashboard, this will appear when put the keys in the igniton and once started should go away.
