    Right

Done a fault code check, and its coming up with p0303 which is cylinder no 3 misfire

The car is on a Duratec engine, 2.0 16v using HT leads

Shall I try switching no 2 and no 3 spark plug around and see if that does anything?

Right I've switched them around, cylinder 3 was sooty cylinder 2 was a good coffee colour, cleared the codes too

he says its running much smoother, but there is still the odd miss fire

Stuck the code reader on again and nothing is flagged up yet

How often should HT leads be replaced? they've never been done in the 4 years of ownership but everything else has been replaced every 10k

Leads only get changed when they need too. I would go for the coil pack.

Ain't no coil pack on these mate

There is the 4 leads and like a distributor cap, and that cap was replaced like 3 week ago

Well its not a 2.0 duratec then. They all have coil packs. Not like the vaux one but a block box on the right hand side of the engine. Ex ford tech by the way
