Well it was not a great start to the winter when I ripped the front bumper off my car, from then until Jan I pretty much just ignored the car.
No washing, no cleaning and certainly not a lick of polish. Come the start of the year it was looking sorry for its self. So I had 2 options, sell it and move on or give it a spruce up.
I went for option 2
Always loved my old front bumper and could not decide what to replace it with, in the end I went for a brand new reiger front but with the number plate and towing eye hook smoothed over.
Wheels were a complete pain in the ass, wanted to drop from my 20's but couldnt find any I liked which would fit. After finding some I drove to Slough to get them fitted. And they didnt fit!!
Company were spot on though and did the work to get them to fit FOC, centre was bored(sp) out and after 4 sets of wobby bolts they found some that fitted.
Wheels are 19 x 8.5 BBS RS GT with 215/35/19 P Zero Nero tyres
Next up was its MOT and boy did it fail in style!!! Anti roll bar link, wheel bearing, front discs and pads to name a few.
Got a quote from my local stealer and it was stupid, so booked it in at Courtenay Sport for the above MOT failures, full 40,000 service and also cambelt and waterpump.
Instead of standard brakes I went for the VXR front disc upgrade, with calipers, 16 groove discs, braided hoses and dot 5.1 fluid.
Performance is miles improved over the 280's and they look better through the new wheels.
Rear wheels have been spaced out using 7mm spacers and New rear euro style plate to finish off the rear end
Unfortunatly due to the expense of the cars MOT I had to not carry out a few more bits I wanted done, but hopefully these will still come later on.
Only bit that will def be done as sorting out the paint work and an up coming session with marc should sort that out.
But for now im happy!
