just bought a set of OEM Astra GSI Pedals of eBay. They arrived this morning and obviously cannoned straight for the car in a huge rush, so exited to put them on. The Clutch and Brake went on a treat. Just removed the origional rubber ones, and the new ones slipped over the metal plate a treat. Now thie problem starts. When i removed the throttle rubber, there is a rectangular metal plate attached to the metal rod, as with the other 2. However the back of the GSI throttle doesnt have a rubber to attach it. But it has a plastic clip (which looks like it should clip around the rod, and a hole at a 90 degrees andle to the peadl?) Now ive heard that you have to bond the throttle but the back of the GSI pedal is not a smooth surface? It looks like the GSI peadls are designed to be fitted directly to the throttle rod? But i have a metal plate welded in the way?
Im very confsed guys
Any help would be much appreciated
pardon my ignorance if im not seeing something simple
