    Pioneer plug - wire colours

I've had a bit of a bo bo.

My Pioneer DEH9600MP stopped working, so i bought a replacement ribbon and whipped the headunit out to swap it.

On putting it back, i noticed i'd managed to pull out a couple of pins from the plug that plugs into the back of the unit.

I've been sat searching the net for ages, and only found a little info.

Basically the red and orange wires have come up.

I know the red's +ve and the orange is for the dimmer.

I just need to find out which pin each goes back in.

    I've found this.

Which i assume confirms the red. Can anyone help?

Pretty sure that the 16 pin connectors on all Pioneers are like that

Have a look at Connects2, Autoleads etc, they have diagrams for wiring looms and such

I am sure my old 9300 had the same connector as my new 8600mp in which case it goes yellow/ orange/ red with it being black/ blue on the row above

    Just an update.

All back in and working thanks to the above illustration.

While i was playing with wires, i decided to tidy it all up.

    I did have.
Headunit - Poineer Loom - AutoLeads Loom (for steering whel Controls)- OE Connecter

After refitting all the pins in the plug, i then cut and spliced the autoleads Loom into the Pioneer loom.

    So now i have
    Headunit - Pioneer/Autoleads Loom - OE plug.

and Loads more room for the rest of the crap that hidden behind my glovebox.
