    is this true

    is it true that once you have done your mods ie vec c air scope, k&n panel filter etc that you shoud disconect the battery to rest the ecu?

    Nope - just go give the car a good run with an occasional red line to let the ECU get a few readings from the engine with the new mods.

    dont even do that - the ECU is self learning anyway and learning all the time so just forget it and drive as normal

    if u really must though, then unplug the 2 big plugs on the ECU for 10mins - easier to reset the ECU than disconnecting the battery and resetting any stereo codes/stations/other hassles that come with it

    No as above the car will learn mate.

    but this depends on what car, it made a difference to mine when i re set the ecu by disconnecting the battery

    this takes even longer the ecu could take upto 150 miles to learn,
    dis connect battery and hit the limiter in 3rd about 5 to 10 times but this can take upto 10 miles before the ecu learns,
    ?the ecu learns your driving style
