    insurance question

    hi

I am a named driver atm on a company car, have been since september last year.

I bought a car last month, insured on my name.
So the two insurance policies are kindof overlapping.
When my insurance policy will come to renewal, will I have 2 years NCB? considering by that time I will have been driving the company car for a year and a half. plus my own car for a year. or it doesnt matter because it is roughly the same period of time?

    does it make sense?

this whole insurance thing is a b**** nightmare

As far as I know, only certain insurance policies allow you to accrue NCB as a named driver. Only if this is the case on your company car, would you be able to claim 2 years NCB. Otherwise you would just be able to use the NCB from the car you bought last month, insured on your name. Someone correct me if I'm speaking rubbish.

    Hi,

Is the Insurance on 2 seperate cars?

If so then your Renewal will be 2 seperate figures. Your Private NCB and your Company NCB.

If you would like to PM me some more info, I can probably be able to give you more advice.

    Dan.

Moral of the story - if u are a company car driver and want to accrue your own ncb simply buy an old banger of the lowest possible insurance group - stick it on the drive and don't go out in it.

When you buy your turbo nutter supercharged racer, simply transfer over the accrued ncb from the banger and hey presto you've saved a bundle or cash.

I've heard or young drivers doing this scam.
It is only when the last tree is felled, the last animal killed and the last fish hauled from the sea that we will realise we can't eat money.
