    98 /99 ts astra

    i have had multi problems with this car to do with coolent leak.
    i have had few pipes replace and water pump and etc and now
    i thoght i had the car all fine but the collant level has droped really quicly over a week of driving i cant see any leak marks where its parked mostly but want some ideas of what it could be?

    i have booked into a mecanic but not at holden cause every time i go there they cost an arm and a leg any ideas please help i am really angry spent 1000 fixin this car up and still more problems i am ready to sell it

    has any one got any good storys?

    Did you fill it, then squeeze the pipes etc to help ensure no airlocks.
    Have you topped it up since the initiall loass, and is it still losing fluid ?

    have re filled it with coolent it was fairly low but will try it in the morning
    as it is ranin and that driven a few ks since re filled it will see if its gone down heaps if its not leakin on to anything could it be an internal leak?>

    If it's internal, you should see signs of oil in the coolant, so dipping your finger in may provide a clue.

    How is your oil under the cap ?
    If like mayo it can indicate water (or short journeys)

    sounds like it could possibly be headgasket, and water leaking into your oil

    and, any pics of your Ts? we dont get them over here in UK. but we love 'em! lol

    Have you checked pipe connections going to the heater? Check your footwell carpets and dont be surprised if they are soaked with coolant.

    ahs had a ex macainc look at it the other day as when i went to move it it wouldent kick over and he had a look at a few thigns and thinks that its a head gasket its 98/99 ts astra want to know wat would be better sellin it how it is gettin that fixed and selling it or fix and keep i dont know if anyone could have an idea of how much it will cost to get done in austrlia would help and its not through holden

    My Nan is having the exactly the same problem with her corsa. Vauxhall have replaced the head gasket twice now. Its on a 04 plate. Im emailing Vauxhall at the moment to see what they have to say.
    Speed cameras don't work.
