Would i be correct in thinking if i bought that it would be a decat too?

As id still like my cat in the system still

How would i go about it?

But an alternative would be a sports cat

a decat will only mean more hassle once it comes to MOT time, you have to remove it and put the cat back on.

and if caught by the police they can give you a hefty fine, i think minimum of £500 or somthing silly like that!

The question was if he puts that in will it decat it, answer, yes.

If you get a sports cat you will need to get it welded in after the manifold.

if your cat converter is before the centre box but after the exhaust manifold and down pipes then this exhaust manifold is not a de cat, this exhaust manifold is a performance item and can give upto 15 bhp the exhaust manifold with the cat in is called a mantiverter some say they take the insides out and this gives a bhp gain
a race cat is another alternative to a sport cat,

all replies except the last 2 are wrong!!!

its an X16XEL therefore the cat is underneath the engine on the front pipe

fitting this will just speed up the gas flow exiting the engine and improve performance - nice little addition if u ask me

its not a straight swap tho - dont go expecting a plug n play job tho
