I use Millers Diesel Power Sport in every tank on my 2.0 DTi. Costs about £11 from halfords and does 10 tanks.. ive found it makes the car run loads smoother especially when using supermarket fuels.

thanx for the quick response guys, but now u bring me to my next question, is shell or bp diesel (not v.power just standard diesel) much diffrent to the stuff you get from tescos, is it worth me goin over the road and spending an extra couple of quid a tank at shell? new to diesels so try cope with my ignorance.

Personally i find mine runs far better on branded diesel such as BP, Shell, Esso etc... Supermarket stuff is OK with the Millers in but i try and fill up at BP as much as i can as the car runs so much better on it..

To be honest mate i only use v-power or ultima as find it a hell of a lot better, plus i get loads extra miles out of a tank....and it better for the engine....if you try doing a search on it you will see alot of people agree (some dont)...plus am sure some test was done and showed it can give an extra 5-6bhp

I have found that my 1.9CDTI 150 runs best on Shell. I tried BP, but I got less mpg and a more lumpy acceleration. V power is good, but I have to queue to get it so generally end up on standard stuff. DONT USE JET FUEL - it is terrible IMHO!!

I'm with Slamdunk, runs much better, and i tend to double dose the millers with the V-power occasionally, tends to add a kick in sport mode lol!
