Asked this before, but people only seem to have done the griffin & nobody seemed to be able to photoshop me the "Vauxhall" & "Astra" badges so i could see what it looks like.
Had some paint left over from doing the bonnet lifters so yesterday i gave 1 coat of primer & 1 coat of paint on my old badge just to get an idea of how it'd look. Picked the "Astra" badge at random
Anyway, a very good reason for this...
You might know that when i de-badged the car last year, it left fine scratches in the paintwork, so it leaves me with 4 options
OPTION 1: leave the car as it is with the fine scratches on show
OPTION 2: Re-badge with normal badges (not a fan of this one, hence the de-badging in the 1st place)
OPTION 3: respray @ a cost of £180 quoted last year, so whatever that fee would be now. If you're happy to paypal me the funds, i'll go this route
OPTION 4: paint some badges the colour of the car & THEN re-badge
What you think? (oh, & incase it wasn't clear, option 3 isn't a realistic option )
The lovely scratches close up. Must admit it doesn't look anywhere near as bad at a distance:
Great professional job done on the badge lol:
