    engine start

iv recently fitted an alarm which has a built in engine start, obviously it doesnt work because of the immobiliser, but is there a way of bypassing it? (without leaving the little chip in the car)

Only way around the factory immobiliser is to leave the chip in the car thus rendering the factory immobiliser useless. There may be other ways around it but vauxhall wouldn't know or tell you as it doesn't make sense to them to get rid of the only bit of security that helps stop your car from going walkabout in the hands of someone else!

You might want to make your insurance company aware you are bypassing the factory immobiliser otherwise they will void your policy if the car gets stolen (and recovered)
