    de-cat

hi, ive just ordered a miltek cat back for my sri-T, i was going to get a sport cat for it, but they cost around £500.

ive just seen that i could get a de-cat for £100 here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Astra-Mk4-GSi-...1%7C240%3A1318

so it would probably be better and cheaper to get that.

but is there a way to stop the emisions light coming?

and is it easy to replace, and put back on, for mot's?

    thanks,
    matt

Im not sure how you stop your light comeing on mate, i know some people have fitted them and the light hasnt come on and some it has. Its easy to swap over yes, just a few bolts at each end, biggest problem is if the police stop you mate and do a roadside check, could get you in a bit of trouble with a full decat.

thanks, aslong as its reasonably easy to change over.

the police im not too worried about around here as i very rarely see any.

but if someone could let me know how to stop the emisions light that would be great.

I fitted a full decat at the weekend and the emissions light hasn't come on.

Fairly easy job to do if you can get under the car properly, I wouldn't fancy doing it on my driveway on axle stands!

Or you could just get have the pre cat replaced and leave the standard main cat in place, the car will pass emissions test then.

Mine was the same, I think early coupes had an all in one pre and main cat. Which is why I got both decats
