    EPS or no EPS?

    Hi all,

Is there a visual way of knowing if your car is fitted with EPS or just traction control? Im fitting the button on my astra coupe turbo to switch it off but im not sure which pin to use, 31 or 25. I know its 25 if the car has got traction control and EPS, and 31 for just traction control. Pin 31 is already populated on my car, and don't what to take just pot luck and bung it in 25 incase it needs to be sliced into the existing wire in 31. HELP.

    Chears all.

If the car has ESP there will be a sensor under the passenger seat with a 6 pin connector going to it

On a 2001 coupe though i'd say you just have TC though

if the car has no ESP both connectors will have no wire in them, if it has ESP it will have a wire in one of them so you use the other, can't remember which is which but just use the rule I just stated

Chears people, i'll give it a go. I got a little confused when i read the how to guide on here, and it mention's splicing into the existing wire in pin 31!? I'll go for the other one as it would make sence to use an empty pin location rather than attatching a wire to an already existing one.

Hi, just a litlle thing. EPS stands for Electric Power Steering and the ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program. The ESP comes only with TC.

    G'day everyone,

Not wishing to be too blatant here but there is an alternative to the standard ESP and that's a tunable solution. Its the equivalent of working with the ABS rather than taking out he fuse like in the old days.

If anyone is interested in trying one of these let us know and we'll gladly discuss, needless to say first in best dressed. Gary, might be something you'd like to try while you've got the thing apart?

Anyway, you can take a look at http://eemotiv.com/ for more details.

    Hope that helps.

Yep but the program wasn't available for 2000-2001 even if they had TC thats why it's so hard to figure out if ESP is on the car
