    Water Noise MK4 Astra

Hello there got an Astra mk 04 plate and was wondering about a wee problem i may have. I've noticed a water swishing around noise especially if i park the car with nose facing downwards on my drive which is fairly steep and i drive away i hear the water swishing around noise and can still here it when taking a left corner - but not a right corner. Can anyone shed any light on this and is it common??
    Cheers in advance

Yeah a lad at work did say about the air lock hence why i done a google and found this place. So if it were an airlock how do i get rid of it.

Carpets are all dry inside, and I did wonder about the H-G being a problem as on my Fiat Punto Sporting i heard water noise behind the dash and that turned out too be head gasket had gone.. No mayo on oil cap and coolant is still clean looking.

MK4s cooling systems are self bleeding so airlocks are unlikely.

Self bleeding? how is the system pressurised surly it will start to boil water if air is made to escape Take the top off of the water bottle when COLD then run the car for a while this will take a little while the water in the bottle will start to rise as the pressure inside the system rises when it starts to do this your good to put the cap on and screw tight that's it next morning unscrew and check water level top up if need to max level and then put the cap on and your good to go
