    Factory fitted radio

    Anyone know how to get the factory fitted radio out of an Astra Mark 4 1999?

    if i remember rightly there are 4 small alan key bolts undo them and pull it out
    Sri 1.8 59k miles dvd/cd player touch screen. Jbl 6x9s and 12" fusion sub in boot.r8 style headlights

    You'll need aforementioned alan key to remove the 4 small bolts. After that, insert your standard radio keys and pull like blazes

    as said above mate Remove the four allen key bolts and use standard removal keys to pop it out

    Damn factory radio!



    I've bought the radio keys for it, they are the right ones.

    -Put them in and they will not catch on
    -Pushed them right in and tried prising it out, just will not budge.
    -Took the glove compartment out, had the radio keys in and out trying to budge it out, would not move.
    -Tried taking out the whole console around it, two screws and the bottom and pulling the top away, just wouldn't budge.

    What the ***** is holding this thing in!

    Anyone got any ideas or suggestions as I'm giving it another crack later.

    hey andrew,

    did you remove the four screws in the radio before you pushed in the keys??

    u need to push both hooks outwards and it shud unclip n pull it hard...it did take me a lot of time and patience i must say

    Mine popped out once i removed the bolts. just give it a good tug.

    Ive got the same problem myself now. Seems like the lockers havent been released. It wont come of!!
