Fault codes - What do they mean?

    Hi everyone

Have got a warning light lit on the dash, car with a spanner, so checked the fault codes using the following method:

Press brake and accelerator to the floor
    Turn ignition on
Count how many times the light flashes

    Has the following fault codes:

    1130
    1326
    1327
    1328
    1329
    0325

Have looked these codes up and have come up with the following:

    1130 - O2 sensor 1 signal no activity detected
    1326, 1327, 1328, 1329 - Knock control maximum spark limit cylinder 1, 2, 3 & 4 (one code for each cylinder)
0325 - Knock signal no signal

I have no idea what any of these mean! Or how I could resolve these problems, anyone got any ideas?

The car is a 2000 1.8 SRi with 60,000 miles, light came on and stayed on after about 70 miles of a 200 mile journey, all motorways

Thanks in advance for any help

P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

o i see you have them lol

Think its your spark plugs defo your ignition system!

And o2 sensor is probs knackered if thats not reading signals! autosparks will probs pop his head up soon!

Basically, your front Lambda (O2) Sensor is dead and needs replacing.
(The one in your exhaust manifold)

LMF sell them for £52 next day delivered to your door.(i've had to replace one recently, had the corresponding code for the rear sensor)
Can be a pain to swap due to the heat locking the thread tight. You can use a 22mm spanner or a Lambda sensor socket (which is basically a deep socket with a cut for the wire)

    The rest.
New knock sensor required. May as well get one from LMF too.
Sits at the back of the engine, just one bolt and a wire.

    Cheers guys!

Luckily I've got a mate who can clear the faults for me, when he decides to pull his thumb out of his arse!

If the fault codes come back then obviously i'll look into resolving them, lambda sensor seems an easy enough job, never heard of a knock sensor 'til today, would this be a diy job or not?

The knock sensor is literally an 8mm blot to undo and an plug to unclip.

I know is on the back of the engine. I'll see if i can see it and take a pic.

Cheers Keif, thanks for geting me that pic, very helpful!

Drove about 10 miles today and the EML went off after about 5mins and hasn't come back on, yet!

Geting the fault codes cleared later so i'll let you know if they come back again.

    Thanks again!!
