    cenral boot locking

    Hello, after having problems with my alarm i disconnected the battery and manually locked the doors and tail gate,after reconnecting battery the tailgate is now not working via the central locking and i can only open it with the key in the lock and it turned totally clockwise,when i remove the key it wont open at all using the button on the tailgate regardless of lock positon and all doors are working ok.any ideas folks.

    unlock every thing and then lock it from the remote

    cannot open the tailgate without using the key mate,if i open it then shut it again the button on the tailgate does not work,i have tried opening and closing with the tailgate up in the air using the remote and the lock is not operating.Come on any idea's techys

    My mum did the same when she fetched something out of my boot without using the central locking just the key.
    Couldn't open the tailgate until I'd spent 10 mins messing around turning the key right and left until it got back to the correct position, then I was able to use the remote again.

    Persistance would be your only ally here mate, start by turning all the way to the right, then to the left, then back to the middle and withdraw the key.

    You'll "feel" it when it's back in the right place.

    definaltly something to do with the lock position did you feel it click into place or did you keep moving it and tryin the remote.cheers
