Flushing the boot and fitting a boot release

Hey guys, i havent posted in a while!

I have a couple of questions. I want to flush my boot because IMO it looks much better, but i was also wondering how i can go about releaseing it after?

Im modifying my centre console, so if i can use a push button, it would make my life easier

Let me know if you have any links or anythign that will help

    Thanks guys!

hiya m8 heres a pic of mine when i'd had it done

all you need to do is buy a boot popper kit from super novas comes with boot button, soilinoid, fuse an all the bits and just take a power feed off the ciggarate lighter for a power feed for the soilnoid in the boot

To do it properly you need to change your boot latch.
Get one from a Daewoo Nexia (the one based on a Mk2 Astra).
It is physically identical, but only has a single position latch, the Vauxhall one is two positions, so on the first press it unlocks but won't open.
Once fitted you can use the Daewoo solenoid to operate the catch from a push button on the dash, or if you have a suitable aftermarket alarm you can get it hooked up to it.
If you're just using a dash button make sure you only use an ignition feed for the switch, that way the boot can't be opened without a key being in the ignition.
