Problem with Sony CDX-GT410 wont click into cage!

    Yo,

After finally getting my CD player back working, It now wont seem to stay in the slot.
It keeps getting pushed back out. no matter how far I push it.

I have taken some photos to show the inside of the cage. I'm wondering where abouts the player actually clips on inside the cage to stop it moving.

I also posted a video of whats happening, It's not easy to see that it keeps pushing out but it does.

I know the cables are behind obviously and it is tight, but I'm sure the radio should click in and not slowly come out as I drive over bumps etc :-)

    Regards

The only thing I can suggest is carefully push the cables down the back, rather than leaving them right behind the stereo, I did this with mine and it fits in perfectly and clicks in place. If you can't get your hands in there very well then you can take the glovebox out (6 torx screws) which will give you much better access to it. Then you can safely get the cables out the way and your radio should fit pretty easy then

Remove the glovebox (6 x T20 torx) & unclip the glovebox light.
Then as you feed the head unit back in to the slot, carefully pull the wiring through and down behind it. Everything should now clip into place.
If it still won't catch, gently bend in the two tabs (see pic). These are what secures the head unit.
Then refit the glovebox (don't forget to plug the light back in).
