I cant physically change my sidelight?

Passenger, Y20DTH. There is literally no room to get my hand in to unclip it. Cant see anything really that I can undo and take out, ive already attempted to take the headlight out but quickly realised its a bumper off job (which I would rather not do to change a sidelight )

    Tips?

Sounds like your going to have to take the bumper off unless you can pay a small boy some pocket money to do it as he has smaller hands

Had a quick search, doesnt appear to be a how to?

Quick search of forum reveals how to take it off sort of, but no pics or an actual walk through....

    Hire a double jointed ethiopian!!!

Its an awkward position, but if you squeeze your hand down at an awkward angle you can manage it if you have thin hands/wrists.

You might be able to reach it by reaching in from the grill side of the light!!

Removing the bumper only takes a couple of mins unless anythings siezed/rusted,you don't even have to fully remove the bumper, theres two plastic rivets on the top of the engine bay, carefully push the plastic centres out from below with a thin screwdriver, then theres a bolt in each wheel arch(about 10 o clock position),and one torx screw at the bottom corner of each side(next to wheel arch!)

It sounds worse than it is,took me ages first time as a bolt had rusted solid into the metal clip,so I had to file it flat to get mole grips onto it.

If nothing is siezed,it really is only a 5mn job to get the bumper loose enough to get into the lights!!

Hmm, ill leave it till saturday to sort it out then, when there is some decent light available. I did look at going in the grill side, however there is a large metal plate thats obv part of the chassis of the car, so that aint moving anywhere soon.

Not like I have the biggest wrists in the world, but theres no way im losing 3 layers of skin over a sidelight
