    Question Headlight Fuse quiry?!?!

    hey guys just a quik question .. i have HIDs in my astra coupe and iv gone through 2 fuses in a week , its the same single fuse that blows , this fuse controls the full beam and the passenger side dipped light.its a 10 amp so does this blowing mean i need to put a 15 or 20 amp in ?

    HID's actually draw less current than a normal 60 watt bulb thats in the headlight to start with

    Either the wiring is shorting out to the headlight of you have a faulty ballast/ HID

    Does the fuse blow when you turn on the lights, or when they are running.
    HiD's normally use less current when running, though some ballast units can pull quite a high current pulse at start up.
    I had to uprate the fuses when I fitted HiD's to my car.

    yer , when i turn them on it blew , tho the fuse is fine turns on and off no problems for a week or so then just goes lol random . should i see if it blows again stiking a bigger fuse in ? when u say uprated fuses what exactly do you mean?

    I uprated mine from 10amp to 15amp.
    Just had a look at the Astra wiring diagram, they list 10amp for standard lights & 15amp for Hid's.
