    Central Locking Boot Motor

I belive the motor has gone on my boots central locking. Does anybody know how much a new one would be roughly and where I can get it. Is the mechanism the same on all MK4's? I have an 1.8 bertone conv.

    Cheers in advance guys.

The boot lock mech will probably be different on the cabs compared to the hatchbacks. Your problem might be broken wires though where they pass through from the cars bady to the boot lid

i had a look and the wires seem fine, cant think of a way to test the wires unless i get another motor, hopefully they're not that much.

At the motor put a volt meter accross the 2 of them and it should read around 12 volts on both lock and unlock (will show minus volts one way)
