    steering wheel controls faulty

hi guys, recently been having problems with the steering wheel controls, its only the right hand volume controls thats a bit funny, i have a sony headunit with connects2 adaptor which works fine (have also tried a standard h/u to rule that out) every so often when i press the volume up button it acts as though the bottom button has been pressed, also the voume down button act as the volume up button unless you press the button hard and right down at the bottom, is this likely to be a connection issue or is it worth trying some contact cleaner on the switch? cheers
