Oil in intercooler? is this bad?

Ive acquired a 2nd hand pace intercooler and plan on fitting it tommorrow as the weathers due to be nice. However just been getting all the bits together and thought id give it a clean and found oil inside it. not much, and there is dried oil inside the pipe work i got with it.

    Should i be concerned?

    good question the above

a little oil is ok due to it coming through breather, alot tho and that probably ment knackered seals on previous owners turbo, just try and clean as much out if its bad

Not gonna get much out with water though, are you? :P

Try using some carb cleaner or a good foaming degreaser + water together

Another reason for a lot (and I really mean a lot, like a litre) of oil in the intercooler is knackered pistons. This pressurises the oil system sending loads of oil through the inlet in the breather.
