    New exhaust and emissions light

Got my new GT3 backcat exhaust system today and got it all fitted, drove it home (about a 20min drive) fine, but when i took the car out later my emisions light came on.

any idea ? fitted wrong or damaged the lamba sensor ?

How about an unplugged lambda sensor, probably the post-cat one
Actively proving that post counts mean jack sh*t since 1971

id remove the lambda(s) and clean em in petrol - disconnect battery for half hour to reset code and then see (if u dont have code for stereo etc then unplug the 2 big plugs on the ECU for 10mins)

Just had a look at your previous posts - its a 51 plate therefore Z14XE

you should have an additional lambda sensor towards the rear of the front pipe - roughly directly underneath the bulkhead area - its on the front pipe just before the flange where it meets the centre pipe

this is the one which is most often disturbed somewhat when fitting cat back systems so id double check this lambda - whilst ur there u may as well give it a good clean.

in the meantime why not do the pedal trick to find out the actual cause of the emissions light - details here: http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...78&postcount=2

^^Thats exactly what happened to me after my mate and I had to wrestle the old exhaust off.

Popped the plug back in and the light went off after 5-10 mins of driving
