    it's either an X18XE1 or a Z18XE.

as said above, prob an X as it's 2000.

does it have a cable throttle or electronic?

couple of easier ways to determine which one it is

first off - pop the bonnet and look a the exhaust manifold

If its a standard cast straightforward manifold which goes to a flange , and underneath is the front pipe with a flexi section AND a catalytic convertor then its the earlier X18XE1 - this model also used midi blade fuses in the interior fuse box.

If the manifold features a big fat cylinder looking thing - this is actually your catalytic convertor and the front pipe only has the flexi section - this is the later Z18XE model. The fuses on this model are the mini blade variety.

Early uses cable throttle, late uses electronic but this isnt always easily identifiable - at least not as easy as the above ways.

    you wont have both!

unless sum1 has bodged the exhaust and fitted a later one

get a pic (once its light) of the manifold, the front pipe underneath the car showing entire length of section if poss, and the throttle body showing the cable!
