    1.9 cdti airbox question........

Ive just got my new cdti airbox now on the bottom of the box there is a little spout with a hole in it, Is this to let any excess water out???

I was going to block it up as air will come out of it??????????

I believe it is. Just leave it as it is, i have! I think i originally blocked it up and the pressure in the box spat the bund out! LOL, so i just left it un blocked!

Yes it's for the water. Whilst accelerating air won't come out of it (it's before turbo - so air is being "sucked" through the airbox), but it will let a small amount of engine-bay air in.

Considering that many people make their airboxes look like swiss cheese and still swear that it hasn't lost much power, I wouldn't be concerned about how much hot air gets in. So leave it as a drainage.
