    power washer? some help please

    ok, im going to give me a car a good seeing over 2morro, even give the (engine bay a good clean) iv got some spray gunk, for the engine bay, im only going to be spraying it over the cam cover and some some other bit's just when i come to clean it off, is it ok to spay a power washer in my engine bay? i mean not close up , just so it wash's away the gunk, or is this a no no, and will **** up my car?

    be greatful very greatful for any helpful reply's

    As long as you have it on te lowest pressure, from a distance, and cover any exposed electrics.

    so that's a no for me then lol , as i will be taking it to my local morrison's and that's only 1 seting, and dont know what to cover up lol what's what lol , just bought some gunk aswell ,lol, as the engine bay is realy bad , let my cam cover leak for far to long, and it's realy dirty, as iv never cleaned it since i got it end of april last year, look's like ill just have to try cleaning it by hand , by wipeing it off with a wet towel ,

    I also have the engine running when I rinse it with the pressure washer as it's designed to get wet while running.
    No longer an astra owner

    dont have a hose because my car is parked about 100m away from my house that's just the way my street is,

    so your saying you rinse your engine bay with a hose? and it's ok when running?

    cant leave it running if you have a cone filter as it needs to be sealed.
